​Pool Lifeguard 

This program aims to teach you emergency rescue techniques, swimming skills and basic spinal management techniques as well as the finer points of pool lifeguard. Candidates of this program will receive comprehensive training in aquatic emergency care, basic first aid, emergency management, oxygen resuscitation, introductory pool operations and pool surveillance.​

Successful candidates will have the skills and knowledge required to supervise swimming pool users.

Pool lifeguard award must be updated annually if used as a professional qualification. You will need to be able to complete a 200m swim in 6 minutes and a tow in 1:45 minutes.

The course is delivered by a qualified instructor through Royal Lifesaving Victoria. Courses run with a minimum of 8 participants and a maximum of 18 participants.

Prerequirement: Must be 16 years of age and have Senior First Aidf
